Schalast further strengthening its position in labour law: new partner joins firm from Lufthansa

Schalast Rechtsanwälte Notare is further strengthening its position in labour law in November 2019, with Britta Fischer (49) joining the firm as a salary partner. The specialist lawyer for labour law began her career in the corporate legal department of Deutsche Lufthansa AG, where she most recently worked as a senior expert. One focus of her previous activities was the labour law structuring of M&A projects and transfers of businesses. From July 2014 until joining Schalast she held the position of deputy head of the labour law section of the Federal Association of Company Lawyers (Bundesverband der Unternehmensjuristen). Clemens Schalast, head of the now six-strong labour law practice, is well known for his advice on collective bargaining law and the representation of airlines in court proceedings. In addition, his team relies on the Hamburg-based Schalast subsidiary Clarius Legal (https://clarius.legal/) in the areas of labour law data protection and compliance. With the addition of Britta Fischer, the firm is strengthening its expertise in advising on labour law issues in connection with transactions and restructurings.

Managing Partner Professor Christoph Schalast comments: “Britta Fischer is a perfect fit for our current growth strategy and will leverage further synergies between M&A/Corporate and Labour Law. We very much look forward to working with her.”

Background: Schalast had already strengthened its position with the addition of a labour law partner in 2018: Boris Christian joined the firm from SKW Schwarz .
