Schalast nominated for two awards by The Lawyer

Schalast has been nominated by the respected magazine The Lawyer both in the category GERMAN LAW FIRM OF THE YEAR and in the category EUROPEAN BANKING & FINANCE DEAL OF THE YEAR. Multilaw, the law firm network of which Schalast is a member, has also been nominated in the category GLOBAL NETWORK OF THE YEAR.

2017 is beginning for Schalast Rechtsanwälte und Notare with two nominations by the leading European magazine for the legal profession for its Awards 2017. The list of finalists was compiled by a distinguished jury of company and law firm representatives. The prizes will be awarded at a ceremony in London on 16 March 2017.

Schalast has – as in previous years as well – been nominated as a finalist in two categories: GERMAN LAW FIRM OF THE YEAR and BANKING & FINANCE DEAL OF THE YEAR.

The international law firm network Multilaw, to which Schalast belongs, has also been nominated in the category GLOBAL NETWORK OF THE YEAR. Qualitatively excellent and efficient international networking is extremely important for lawyers, especially in times of increasing globalisation. The network, which was established in 1990, boasts over 8,500 lawyers in 100 countries around the world. Some of Schalast’s partner offices in other countries have also been nominated as finalists.

Prof. Dr Christoph Schalast (Managing Partner) commented on this as follows: “These nominations once again show the success of our internationalisation strategy. It is all the more pleasing that our Multilaw network, which enables us to offer one-stop, cross-border legal advice in all important jurisdictions, is joining us in the final of the European Awards.”

“We are very happy and proud that we have the possibility every day to work with such a fantastic and constantly growing team on extremely exciting projects and have therefore once again been nominated as a finalist for this award in the highly competitive banking category,” added Dr Andreas Walter (Partner and Head of the Banking Practice Group).
