Racine strengthens its IP/IT department with the arrival of Charles Bouffier as a partner

France member firm Racine pursues its development strategy and announces the arrival of Charles Bouffier as a partner in the IP/IT team. Specialised in digital and IT law, Charles also benefits from a recognised expertise in media and entertainment law, having worked in this industry before joining the legal profession.

He handles advisory and litigation matters relating to new technologies, commercial and intellectual property law issues, on behalf of French and foreign companies in various sectors such as software publishing, cinema and audiovisual, entertainment (gaming, NFT) and luxury goods.

Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2010, Charles holds a degree in intellectual property law (University of Paris XII - 2010) and a degree in personal data protection law (University of Paris Descartes - 2020). He also graduated from la Fémis (the French state film school) in distribution / exploitation (2009).

Charles has been selected by his peers for inclusion in the 11th and 12th Editions of The Best Lawyers in France for his work in “Technology Law”.

Before joining Racine, Charles was Counsel in the IP/IT department of August Debouzy, which he joined just after having passed the bar exam.

The department now has eight lawyers, including two partners, and assists international groups, large companies and SMEs with their digital transformation.
