Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli is being recognized today as one of 52 BTI Innovation Champions by BTI Consulting Group, joining an elite list of law firms named “the absolute best innovators.”

The report, titled BTI Legal Innovation and Technology Outlook 2019, is BTI’s first-ever in-depth look at how clients rank law firms on innovation and technology prowess. The report dissects industry trends and highlights 27 unique client needs and priorities, as well as 40 law firm actions and tactics clients see as the most innovative.

Clients only see innovation in 52 percent of law firms, according to BTI. Polsinelli is one of the few firms strongest in the four elements clients see as driving legal innovation:

1. BTI Movers & Shakers – 23 percent of firms are disrupting the legal industry by making strategic and tactical moves others don’t
   
   
2. BTI Innovation Builders – 28 percent of firms are bringing change to the legal market through new technology, services, strategies, or structures
   
   
3. BTI Client Experience Innovators – 44 percent of firms are making strategic changes in client service to deliver a world-class client experience
   
   
4. BTI Law Firm Technology Leaders – the 61 firms embracing and using technology in new and different ways to better help meet clients’ needs
   
   

Last month, Polsinelli was listed in BTI’s Most Recommended Law Firms report as one of 94 law firms suggested by corporate counsel in 2018. Five of the firm’s attorneys were also recognized as 2018 BTI Client Service All-Stars in March, positioning Polsinelli among the top 20 percent of all law firms represented on the list.

Among other industry awards, Polsinelli was named “Law Firm of the Year” in Health Care for the second time by U.S. News & World Report for 2018, which also included top-tier rankings for the firm in 10 national practice areas and 152 total categories on the 2018 “Best Law Firms” list.
