Macpherson Kelley expands it's coverage in Papua New Guinea through Pacific Legal Network

Australian member firm Macpherson Kelly has expanded it's coverage in Papua Net Guinea through membership of the Pacific Legal Network (PLN) with the addition of another affiliate law firm to the group.

John Peter Munnull Lawyers joins PLN’s existing PNG presence, expanding the network’s geographic reach and access to regulatory and litigation expertise in the country.

PLN Founder and Head of Legal Services John Ridgway said PNG was a large and important market in the Pacific for businesses and investors. “Access to local legal assistance is essential to anyone doing business in the region, especially during the unusual period we’re going through with the COVID-19 pandemic,” he said.

John Peter Munnull Lawyers is run by John Munnull, who is a highly regarded commercial lawyer with significant litigation experience and land dispute expertise. "I’m thrilled to be joining PLN and to be able to service the needs of clients who are operating and investing in PNG,” Mr Munnull said.

Mr Ridgway said Mr Munnull brought many years of experience working in highly regulated industries as well as commercial litigation skills to PLN. “We are excited to have John join us and know he and his firm will be valuable additions to the network,” he said.

Mr Munnull works from Banz in Jiwaka Province, servicing nearby Mount Hagen and the wider PNG Highlands.  His firm adds to PLN’s growing presence across PNG, which also includes Kidu Lawyers in Port Moresby.
