Macpherson Kelley intellectual property Consultant Kenneth Philp has been re-elected to the board of the Association of Intellectual Property Firms (AIPF), an international organisation dedicated to advancing the interests of IP firms around the world.

Ken was re-elected to the 15-member board at the AIPF’s recent annual general meeting held via video because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Ken, who is one of only two Australians on the board, said it was an honour to be re-elected to the board.

“I’m humbled by the confidence our members have shown in me to continue representing the interests of IP firms around the world,” he said.

The association provides programs that strengthen the capabilities of members and ensures they are in the best position to help clients protect their IP assets.

Ken has been an IP lawyer for more than 30 years with extensive experience providing advice on protecting and litigating copyright, trade marks, design and patent issues, brand protection and confidential information.

As well as remaining on the AIPF board, Ken will also continue as a member of the AIPF’s Boutique Practice Committee.
