Legal Affairs


There is no specific law that governs the provision of identification services. However, the licensed financial institutions and e-payment service providers that outsource the service to a service provider will have to comply with the criteria and rules on outsourcing prescribed by the BOT.

Moreover, financial Institutions themselves may also provide the services to other financial institutions or government agencies, in accordance with the BOT’s rules.
