Jan Schneider is a partner and specialist lawyer for IT law. He has been advising manufacturers and user companies in all areas of IT law and data protection law for around 20 years. He is a frequently requested speaker and keynote speaker on current IT law issues and co-author of several specialist books, including the well-known standard work "Handbuch der IT-Verträge" (Handbook of IT Contracts).

Education
Jan Schneider, born in Darmstadt, studied law in Mainz after a few semesters of studying computer science. Therefore, it is not surprising that he focused on civil law and information technology law already during his studies and later during his legal clerkship.
Before joining Schalast, Jan Schneider worked as a lawyer at a large US law firm as well as in several medium-sized commercial law firms. Since 2008, he has been a specialist lawyer for information technology law.
