Recognised as a leading commercial and civil litigator in The Bahamas, Metta's submissions in several corporate and insolvency cases have precipitated amendments to the law. She regularly appears before the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal and has appeared before the Privy Council. Although her experience and practice covers the full spectrum of civil and commercial litigation she has particular expertise in Cross border Insolvencies; Insurance litigation involving high value catastrophic claims; Asset recovery; International Proceeds of Crime and Unexplained Wealth Orders; International Tax Co-operation litigation; and Interlocutory relief including Worldwide Freeze Orders and Norwich Pharmacal relief. Also a leading Family law specialist and IAML member, she frequently acts for HNW international families in divorce and the negotiation of Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements.
