About Me
Siobhan McCabe is a partner and heads up the energy team at Philip Lee. Siobhan specialises in renewables, energy and natural resources law and has an in-depth knowledge of the complex regulatory and legislative frameworks applicable to the Irish energy market.



Siobhan has extensive experience advising energy clients on acquisitions, project development and regulatory matters. She advises on the I-SEM, REFIT support scheme and ECP-1 and the evolving electricity market. She has particular experience advising on renewable energy projects – wind, biomass, solar generation and emerging technologies. She has advised on numerous large energy M&A transactions, joint ventures, co-developments and infrastructure projects, including grid and interconnector projects. She also has experience advising on gas and electricity contracts for the wholesale and retail markets.



Prior to joining Philip Lee, Siobhan spent over 10 years working in the energy and natural resources group of one of the top 5 law firms in Dublin. Siobhan advised Irish and multinational clients, including semi-states, utilities, independent project developers, power generators, lenders and investors, on electricity, gas and renewable projects and transactions in Ireland. She also advised many new market participants exploring and progressing wind farm opportunities and other innovative generation opportunities in the energy sector. She has advised multinational clients in relation to oil exploration activities in Ireland.



Siobhan has also acted for procuring authorities, bidders, contractors and operators on numerous complex PPPs.
