Malini Nanda
About Me
Malini Nanda studied law at the University of Hamburg. She specialized in information and communication law, and also worked for the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law. She also completed a postgraduate commercial law program after successfully passing her First State Law Examination.

During her internship, Malini Nanda working stations included the European Parliament in Brussels and a major international commercial law firm in Berlin. She mainly focused on media and broadcasting law issues.

Further stages in her career have included the legal department of a telecommunications company in Hamburg, where she was mainly responsible for antitrust issues and the legal basis of triple play, and the Directorate-General Competition of the European Commission in Brussels, where she worked in the department telecommunications and post.

As an attorney and especially certified specialist attorney for information technology law, Malini Nanda focuses on issues relating to telecommunications and media law, as well intellectual property and antitrust law. She in particular advises telecommunications companies on European and national regulatory issues. She also works in the area public procurement law.

Malini Nanda established the Berlin office of Schalast & Partner in 2006 together with Jan Mönikes. She is also managing director of the Initiative of European Network Operators (IEN) and assistant lecturer for IT law at the Brandenburg Technical University of Cottbus.
