About Me
Chris Collenette is a consultant to Philip Lee’s corporate department and is responsible for the firm’s growing Canada Desk – the first of its kind in Ireland. Working with Irish government agencies such as the Industrial Development Agency, Connect Ireland, Enterprise Ireland and Bord Bia as well as Canadian government agencies such as the Export Development Corporation, federal and provincial departments of international trade, Canadian Embassies throughout Europe, big city mayors and their economic development agencies, Chris advises clients on:
– Accessing the European markets via Ireland;
– Establishing an EU headquarters in Ireland;
– Connecting Irish firms with opportunities in Canada;
– Counselling Irish firms on accessing the US market via Canada; and
– Advice on lobbying efforts in the EU and Canada.

Chris previously worked for two national public affairs firms in Toronto where he represented dozens of major corporations to government, and as an advisor to the Canadian Minister of Health, Minister of Industry and the Prime Minister. As a result, Chris commands a broad network of contacts at senior levels in business, government and academia coupled with a deep understanding of business, law and public policy issues at play across the country.

Chris also serves on the Board of Directors of the Ireland-Canada Business Association.

Chris received his Bachelor’s degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, his LL.B from Trinity College in Dublin, and a Diploma in Legal French from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris.
