About Me
A graduate of the London School of Economics, Nitin was called to the English Bar in 1984, and the Malaysian Bar in 1985. He is a Fellow of both the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators. He is empanelled with the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration as arbitrator, adjudicator and mediator, and the reserve panel of arbitrators for the Singapore International Arbitration Centre.

With an active commercial dispute resolution practice, the clients he has represented over the years include Affin Bank, Arab Malaysian Toda Construction, Ballast Nedam, Bank Negara Malaysia, Berjaya Corporation, Carillion, Daewoo, Genting Sanyen, Hong Leong Bank, Johor Corporation, Johor Port, Kumagai Gumi, Khazanah, Malaysian Airlines, Petronas, Port of Tanjung Pelepas, Powertek, Philip Morris, Ranhill, RHB Bank, Sime Darby, Sun Media, Tanjung Langsat Port, and Transfield.

Nitin has been described as having an “excellent reputation” in construction disputes by Asia Legal 500, and as a “sharp advocate who presents his cases decisively and convincingly” by Chambers. He is currently ranked by Chambers Asia 2015 as a leading lawyer (band 1) in construction disputes.
