Eoin is a partner at Philip Lee specialising in corporate and commercial matters. His expertise extends to corporate advisory work including acquisition and disposals, commercial contracts, sponsorship agreements, franchising, joint ventures, loan and security documentation, foreign direct investment, corporate governance and intellectual property. As an expert on sports law, Eoin has published articles and spoken at conferences on this topic of growing relevance.
Eoin has considerable experience in advising sporting bodies on governance issues and has recently advised Sport Ireland on a number of matters. Eoin previously advised the disciplinary officer of a governing body of professional rugby in relation to Irish law matters arising in disciplinary matters and participation agreements. This included advising on a number of high profile matters that made worldwide news. More recently Eoin advised Venture Racing Limited on the 2016 Venture Cup – the World’s longest, toughest and most prestigious powerboat race which is being held in Ireland in June 2016.
Eoin qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and joined the firm in 2015 having previously worked for a leading Dublin based commercial law firm where he advised private and institutional clients on their corporate requirements. Eoin has extensive experience in corporate restructuring and insolvency having advised a leading financial institution and insolvency stakeholders on restructuring, enforcement and recovery. He has successfully brought cases through the high court, commercial court, court of appeal and supreme court.
