Member of the Council with the Russian President on the Civil Society Development and Human Rights.

1984 - 1991: Worked in the prosecutor bodies of Moscow in the following capacities: trainee investigating officer, district investigating officer, prosecutor of the investigating department, senior district investigating officer, assistant to the prosecutor.

1993 - 2003: Worked in the Federal Tax Police Service (formerly – the Tax Police Department) of the Russian Federation for Moscow in the following capacities: head of the legal department, head of the legal service (retired colonel of tax police).

2003 - 2004: Worked in the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs as the Deputy Head of the Legislative Department of the Legal Directorate (retired colonel of police).

As an expert participated in drafting of legislation on taxes.

Has participated in the workgroups of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation for the preparation of the Resolution No. 8 of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of 4 July 1997 “On various issues concerning the application by courts in the Russian Federation of the criminal law relating to tax evasion”, and the Resolution of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of 18 November 2004 “On judicial precedents relating to carrying out of unlawful business practices and the legalization (laundering) of illegally acquired financial resources and other assets”.

Member of the Russian Tax Club.

Winner of Russia’s highest judicial award – the Themis.
