About Me
David is a lateral thinker and prides himself on the practicality of his solutions which comes from his long and varied career, deep knowledge of the law and experience in knowing how to apply it.

His varied experience also includes setting up his own commercial law firm which grew to over 100 staff. He values working with like-minded business people and can relate to what his clients are going through when facing business challenges.

The majority of David’s work is within the commercial, banking and property legal space. His clients are from a mix of large and small firms and this breadth of experience shows in his outstanding ability to solve problems.
David specialises in commercial transactions and in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts. He has extensive experience in all forms of business set-up and structuring, business acquisitions and sales, corporate restructuring and corporate finance, especially for the mid-market sector. David majored in taxation for his Master of Laws degree and that knowledge enables him to bring an extra dimension to structuring advice and commercial transactions. His many years doing high level banking work is invaluable for his corporate finance work.

David also works extensively in the areas of business succession, estate planning and trusts and with not-for-profit organisations. He also has considerable experience in entertainment, television and film production.

David has co-authored or contributed to a number of publications including Law Brief: A film lawyer’s guide for non-lawyers (contributed), Multimedia Contracts Handbook (co-authored), Business Angels (co-authored) and Media Law For Non-Lawyers (contributed).
