Pablo Vergara del Carril is a partner at Zang, Bergel & Viñes Abogados and heads the firm’s M&A, Corporate and Foreign Investment departments. His practice areas include corporate law, M&A, investment funds, private equity and venture capital, banking, debt restructuring and corporate reorganizations, real estate and antitrust.
He is recognized and highly esteemed by prestigious international publications such as Chambers & Partners, Latin Lawyer, IFLR 1000, Legal 500, LACCA (Latin American Corporate Counsel Association), Who is Who and Best Lawyer. He has published articles for and/or has been a lecturer in conferences organized by Law Schools, the International Bar Association, the German Chamber of Commerce, the Spaniard Chamber of Commerce, El Cronista Comercial journal, Latin Lawyer, Panorama Magazine (Mercosur), Panorama Mining, the Chamber of Corporations, among others.
Pablo is a Board member of the Chamber of Corporations (Cámara de Sociedades Anónimas) as well as a member of its Legal Counsel, member of the Board and alternate syndic of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, Co-chair of the Argentine Chapter of the American Bar Association, member of the International Trade Committee of the AMCHAM and former officer of the Real Estate Committees of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and the International Bar Association, among other entities.
He serves on the board of public companies listed both in Argentina and overseas, such as Banco Hipotecario, Austral Gold Ltd. (Australia and Canada) and IRSA Propiedades Comerciales (Buenos Aires and NASDAQ) as well as in local and international private companies, such as Guanaco Cía. Minera (Chile) and Intercontinental Hotel Buenos Aires, among others. He spent three months as a trainee at Lovell’s (London) and was a Foreign Associate at Clifford Chance in London and New York (1992-1993). He has experience in the judicial power as clerk in Commercial Courts while attending Law School.
