About Me
I am a Principal Associate in the Gurgaon office of Kochhar & Co. (Firm) and a key member of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Practice (IPR) group. My practice focuses on a range of contentious & non-contentious IPR matters in the areas of trademark, trade dress, unfair competition, trade secrets, copyright, industrial designs, domain names and Internet.

I routinely advises clients on matters including IP portfolio management, trademark search and clearance opinions, registration, enforcement, domain name and company name dispute matters, drafting and negotiating settlement and co-existence agreements, IP licenses, IP assignments, franchise agreements and all aspects of brand protection. I also assists clients with the IPR aspects of corporate transactions, including strategic alliances, joint ventures and mergers & acquisitions.

I have extensive experience in assisting clients across industries including consumer electronics, food, automobiles, telecommunications, entertainment, FMCG, pharmaceuticals, publication, hospitality, apparel, airlines, mining, defense, chemical, e-commerce and real estate, in acquisition, enforcement, and protection of their intellectual property.

I regularly appears before High Courts and District courts (for infringement and passing off matters) and various Tribunals such as the Intellectual Property Appellate Board, the Trademark Marks Registry (for oppositions, cancellations, review and appeal matters) and National Company Law Tribunal/National Company Law Appellate Tribunal and Regional Director - Ministry of Corporate Affairs (for company name related dispute matters). My experience in litigation includes cases in the areas of trademark, trade name, trade dress, unfair competition and copyright. I have represented clients in disputes involving consumer products, electronics, publication, airlines and entertainment.

In addition, I counsels clients on domain name disputes.
