About Me
Partner Karina Paula Kucyk is co-head of the ZBV Abogados Litigation Practice, and she has just recently assumed as head of the Compliance Practice. She joined the firm in 2010, following an extensive career at Cárdenas, Di Ció, Romero, Tarsitano & Lucero Abogados (2003-2010). Previously she practiced law at M & M Bomchil (2001-2003), and Caraballo & Asociados (1995-2001).
Her incorporation at ZBV has been a truly valued asset in the development of the department that handles corporate and commercial litigation cases and proceedings, including tax, foreign exchange, labour, contract and damages, banking, bankruptcy and intellectual property conflicts. She is also recognized for her arbitration practice, representing local and foreign clients.
As managing risk has become a top priority for local and global businesses, Karina has expanded the realm of her practice and now also offers ZBV clients advice on how best to mitigate risk and conduct business ethically without sacrificing profitability. She works alongside a team of associates to establish strong corporate compliance programs for companies, draft policies and guidance, document business procedures, assist with due diligence processes and monitor ongoing compliance.
