Henry Shi

Chancellor

Henry Shi specialises in the field of foreign direct investment law and merger & acquisition in China. He has provided legal advice to many multinational and domestic corporations on their investment and other business in China and represents clients in Europe and North America in negotiations and before courts in the areas of commercial/investment contracts, real estate and employment.

Henry Shi has experience which includes advising on the purchase of the equity of major state-owned companies or private company by foreign investors, and advising on the establishment of joint ventures or wholly foreign owned company by foreign companies. His practice includes many industries, focusing on mining and natural resources, real estate development, food and dairy products. He has actively participated in the commercial and legal negotiations between overseas investors and Chinese domestic companies/entrepreneurs.

He has lectured at top-ranking universities and MBA programs in China on investment law, natural resources law and negotiation in merger & acquisition deals. He is an executive editor of the official journal of JunHe LLP.

He received his undergraduate degree from Peking University and his LLM from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He participated in the Multilaw Academy 2008 in Dublin as a delegate and joined the Multilaw Academy faculty in 2009.

Christiane Schuman Campbell

Christiane Schuman Campbell is a partner in the Philadelphia U.S.A. office of Duane Morris. She was recently appointed Team Lead for the firm’s newly formed Fashion, Luxury, and Retail Industry focus group. She is a member of the firm’s governing board of directors and the newly appointed chair of the firm’s Women’s Impact Network for Success.

Christi counsels clients on development, management, and protection of their most valuable assets: Their brands. Christi has worked hand-in-hand with some of the world’s most recognizable brands to develop strategies for brand development, clearance, protection, monetization, expansion, and enforcement. She partners with clients that range in size from start-ups to leading global franchises, in a wide array of industries, including fashion, jewellery, luxury, and consumer goods; alcohol; casinos and hospitality; franchise restaurants; medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences, including in the cannabis space; universities; and defence products. She is a trusted advisor and partner to larger clients’ in-house legal teams and regularly called upon to step into an in-house counsel role for smaller and start-up clients.

Christi has extensive experience with global protection and enforcement of brands, and has guided clients through intellectual property transactional and litigation matters throughout the U.S., before U.S. Federal Courts and before the TTAB in Inter Partes and Ex Parte proceedings, and before WIPO and the NAF in domain disputes under the UDRP. Outside the U.S., Christi has successfully enforced clients’ intellectual property rights in some of the most legally complex jurisdictions in the world, including in China, throughout the Middle East and Africa, and Cuba. Christi participated in the Multilaw Academy 2012 in Pennsylvania and 2018 was her first year serving as a member of the faculty.

Nicholas Mocarquer

Nicholas Mocarquer is a partner of Urenda Rencoret Orrego & Dörr in Chile.

Nicholas focuses his practice on Corporate and M&A, Competition and Banking & Finance matters, regularly advising major local and international clients in M&A transactions, merger control assessments and filings, debt transactions and offerings, etc.

He received his law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2002) and holds a postgraduate certificate from the Universidad de Chile (2006). He is a member of the Competition Commission of the Chilean Bar Association.

Nicholas is co-author of the Chilean chapter of “The Global Directors and Officers Deskbook”, published by the American Bar Association (ABA Book Publishing, 2014), and co-author of the Chilean chapter of the “International Comparative Legal Guide to: Cartels & Leniency 2010”, published by Global Legal Group Ltd.

He participated as a delegate in the 2013 Multilaw Academy in Oxford and 2023 will be his first year serving as a member of the faculty.

Sneha Nainwal 

Sneha is a Partner and the Head of India Desk at Shakespeare Martineau. She is dual-qualified to practise law in India and England & Wales.

Sneha’s practice has a strong focus on cross-border disputes, financial services litigation and arbitration. She has wide experience in acting for clients, both business and private individuals, in complex disputes before Indian and English Courts, as well as other forms of ADR.

Sneha’s clients include sovereign states, state owned entities, multinational companies, financial services providers, global entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals based in the U.K., India and abroad.

Sneha completed her Masters in Law (BCL) with merit at the University of Oxford and obtained her double bachelors’ degree in business and law (B.B.A.LL.B) from India. She participated in the Multilaw Academy as a delegate in 2019 at Thailand and joins the Multilaw Academy Faculty in 2023.
