Henry Shi specialises in the field of foreign direct investment law and merger & acquisition in china. He has provided legal advice to many multinational and domestic corporations on their investment and other business in China and represents clients in Europe and North America in negotiations and before courts in the areas of commercial/investment contracts, real estate and employment.
Henry Shi has experience which includes advising on the purchase of the equity of major state-owned companies or private company by foreign investors, and advising on the establishment of joint ventures or wholly foreign owned company by foreign companies. His practice includes many industries, focusing on mining and natural resources, real estate development, food and dairy products. He has actively participated in the commercial and legal negotiations between overseas investors and Chinese domestic companies/entrepreneurs.
He has lectured at top-ranking universities and MBA programs in China on investment law, natural resources law and negotiation in merger & acquisition deals. He is an executive editor of the official journal of Jun He Law Offices.
He received his undergraduate degree from Peking University and his LLM from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
He participated in the Multilaw Academy 2008 in Dublin as a delegate and joined the Multilaw Academy faculty in 2009.
Arnaud Picard is a Partner in the Litigation and Arbitration department of Lerins & BWC Avocats Aossocies in Paris, France. He advises French and foreign clients on a variety of commercial litigation matters before French courts, as well as on domestic and international arbitration matters before domestic and international arbitral tribunals. He has experience with complex contractual disputes and regulatory matters, real estate law and commercial leases. He received his Masters in Private Business Law and International Commercial Law from the University of Paris XI – Sceaux and then obtained a post-graduate degree in Business Law from the same university, in partnership with H.E.C. Business School, before being admitted to the Paris Bar.
Arnaud is a member of the Inter-Pacific Bar Association (IPBA), the French Association of Arbitration (AFA – Association Française d’Arbitrage) and the Young Arbitrators Forum of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC YAF). He participated in the Multilaw Academy 2005 in Quebec City, Canada as a delegate and has represented his firm at various Multilaw conferences around the world since.
