How to Hire and Fire in 96 Jurisdictions - 2011 Edition
The Labour & Employment practice group has produced a CD entitled "How to Hire and Fire in 96 Jurisdictions" which is an electronic book designed to make sense of the bewildering array of rules and regulations which come into play when businesses have to hire or fire employees. The CD provides a simple way for HR practitioners and clients to get a quick, uncomplicated overview of basic employment law information from 96 jurisdictions around the world. Each chapter has been written by an experienced employment lawyer from the Multilaw family, and is arranged in convenient chapters by jurisdiction. Each chapter covers:
- sources of employment law;
- types of employment agreement;
- mandatory requirements in terms of rights and benefits;
- outsourcing and sub-contracting;
- dealing with disciplinary and grievance issues;
- harassment in the workplace;
- maternity, paternity and family friendly provisions;
- termination procedures;
- severence payments;
- and claims arising from termination
There is a comprehensive directory, both as an insert within the box and in electronic form which provides full contact details for all member firms who have contributed to the book, together with links to the websites and email links to the individual authors. The CD is presented in a DVD jewel box and does not require any specialised software to run.
The CD has a recommended retail price of US$55.
Please contact either Jon Heuvel at Penningtons Solicitors LLP (firstname.lastname@example.org) or the Multilaw Secretariat (email@example.com) if you would like to order copies of this CD.
