PRACTICE GROUPS: India Practice Group

The India Practice Group was established in April 2012. It has been formed to coordinate and manage the significant opportunities emanating from the Indian marketplace. The India Practice Group is comprised of member firms that provide legal and commercial advice in relation to entry into or exit from the Indian market, as well as in relation to overseas investments by Indian clients. The group exists to enhance and develop each member firm's India-focused practice, to network and share legal expertise and to provide support to member firms to enable them to serve clients on a pan-global basis.

The group’s member firms support businesses of all sizes and across many sectors throughout their corporate life cycle, and have particular expertise in cross-border transactions. Member firms are comprised of lawyers with an interest in and understanding of the expectations and concerns that commonly arise on a variety of complex transactions involving Indian counterparties, individuals and institutions, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and banking and finance.

With member firms that have a strong track record in a wide spectrum of India-related matters in addition to their international transactional knowledge and close contacts at Indian professional firms, the India Practice Group is able to offer a practical and highly effective service to our clients.
