Multilaw Firm one of 50 Best Law Firms for Women

Gray Plant Mooty has been included in the Working Mother and Flex-Time Lawyers 50 Best Law Firms for Women.  The firms included in this listing were recognized for redefining the standards of success by creating a workplace that encourages the retention and advancement of women. 

The 50 Best Law Firms for Women is the result of an annual survey that is conducted throughout the United States to identify law firms that are the most progressive in regards to encouraging and retaining women, promoting women into leadership roles, and helping professional women balance the competing demands on their time.

The application for the 2008 listing was developed in partnership between Working Mother Magazine and Flex-Time Lawyers LLC.  Working Mother is a national publication that helps career-committed moms balance their personal and professional lives.  It is a subsidiary of Working Mother Media, the largest multimedia company in the country focused on diversity and the advancement of women.  Flex-Time Lawyers is a national consulting firm that advises law firms and corporations on work/life balance and the retention and promotion of women attorneys.

Law firms with at least 50 lawyers were eligible to submit an application that consisted of detailed questions about the issues that are most important to the retention and promotion of female lawyers.  Firms were evaluated on their workforce profile, family-friendly benefits and policies, flexibility, leadership, compensation, advancement and retention of women, and several other key factors.  The winning law firms were selected based on their overall scored responses.
